The potentials of many coins have been weighed and confirmed awesome, while some do not even merit the name ‘cryptocoin’. Among the coins with futures is Litecoin (LTC). It is understandable that the cryptocurrency world is presently witnessing ups and downs, and Litecoin, at the moment is not left out, it is clear that the cryptocoin has been toppled out of its top five position, however, there are many reasons Litecoin will return to be one of the best this 2018, and beyond.
Litecoin Is fully Decentralized
Every cryptocurrency claims decentralization, the case of Litecoin (LTC) is fact and not claim. The founder of the cryptocurrency, Charlie Lee has completely sold off his stake in the coin, he neither HODLs nor controls the potential of the digital currency.
The decision, according to Lee, going by his statement on Reddit was meant to remove any perception of “conflict of interest.”
However, in a youtube video, Lee hinted at some regrets about his decision to sell.
“I still think it was the right move but I question whether — I think in the long run it was the right move but in the short term while the price is down, below the all-time high, it just feels like it’s not the right decision,” Lee said.
While selling his stake remains a major topic of discourse in recent time, observers who weighed in on the issue affirmed that it was one of the major things that made Litecoin fully decentralized. Unlike some other coins whose founders control what is sold out and what becomes of their coins, Litecoin does not have such.
Litecoin Debit Card.
One very important thing about Litecoin (LTC) is the newly produced debit card courtesy of Wirex. The debit card will give users opportunity to use Litecoin in buying and selling online, and may be offline.
Wirex, in a tweet that was retweeted by Charlie Lee made this known, stating that: “Litecoin wallets have landed verified users around they can now buy, trade & spend #LTC Full product features, benefits, and how to get your hot little hands on one”
Wirex, on its website declared the potentials of Litecoin over Bitcoin as follow: “It’s faster than Bitcoin, has lower blockchain fees and may become a global payment option available on dozens of big brand websites in coming months”.
The announcement that Gemini will be adding a great boost for Litecoin. Gemini has a large user base in 48 U.S states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
Just yesterday that the announcement that Gemini will be adding Zcash surfaced, the coin keeps on skyrocketing. At the time of writing this report, the cryptocurrency has increased by 45%.
Litecoin, Verge and Tpay May Be Planning To Buy Stakes In Germany-Based Germany Bank
There is possibility that Litecoin and Tpay may be working together to buy stakes in a german bank. This is perceived in an NDA reached by the two recently. If the agreement is actually on buying a stake, Litecoin will receive a major boost.
Conclusion: Going by Litecoin (LTC) development, there is no going back on the cryptocoin rocking 2018, all things been equal.
